Amber's post last Friday featured the color of some much needed sunshine - yellow! It got me thinking about this wonderful color and how it's not one that I often gravitate towards. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE color - but why don't I have more yellow in my wardrobe? I felt inspired to bring on the color of sunshine this summer and I put together a juicy collection of 4 ways one can easily integrate this fabulous color into their summer fashion line up!
I love the sun, for now. After experiencing 25 out of 30 days of rain, the sun finally showed itself and it was kind of weird. You take for granted that it's always going to be bright and well sunny, but it has been cloudy, rainy and dark. That's why I decided to pick out some finds in my favorite color right now :: Summer Yellow. The brighter the better and hopefully no more rain for at least a few days.
Even though the Summer can be super hot in Texas, I have to say I am really looking forward to it. We've had an unusual rainy Spring and we haven't had much sunshine. I will probably regret wanting warmer weather in about a month, but right now it would be a nice change. I love Summer because it's when color collides. From fashion to home decor, it seems like color is everywhere and it's bold and red hot. That's where I gathered my inspiration for this collection. I needed a color jolt to wake me from my rain induced slumber. How do you spice up your style for Summer?

How is spring treating you so far? Hopefully the snow has melted and the sun is showering you with its golden rays. We asked our amazing group of stylists to create collections of handmade and vintage finds that were perfect for Spring. This collection by Mirta of Modern Botanics Shop really embraced the beauty of indigo and cobalt blue and shibori dyed fabrics , all of which are on trend!
It's official, Spring is exactly 30 days away. Let's all let out a collective scream of joy! Hello sunshine, green grass and flowers. I don't think I'm alone in putting Spring up there as one of my favorite times of the year. As we all defrost and get over the winter blahs it's fun to start playing around with color. One color I've noticed trending for this upcoming season is Marigold. How fitting that it's the name of a flower, as well. Pair this golden yellow with cream and gray and you have a fresh spring combination. Will you incorporate Marigold into your Spring fashion or home decor?
