I've got an obsession with house plants. I currently have almost 40 plants in my house and I love each and every one of them. Plants just make me happy!  I've actually gone through probably hundreds of plants over the years, trying to get just the right plant for the right light.  If you are obsessed like me with houseplants, then you probably also love planters and well anything botanical.  I've picked out just a few of my favorites featuring concrete, ceramic, brass and copper.

This stylish post today comes from our west coast correspondent, Cinne of CBanning Accessories and is filled with the light and open air of living in California.  Being an east coast girl myself, dining out in the open air more often looks like a picnic with a grill and some lawn chairs - yet Cinne has taken outdoor dining to a whole new level.  I feel inspired to invite some friends over, whip up an amazingly fresh meal with ingredients from the farmer's market and serve it with a refreshing presecco while we dine over light music and laughter.  Ummmm...ya, sign me up - please!  Enjoying a meal outside under the stars with some tea lights and good company is such a treat.  Cinne's gorgeous selections are a fun reminder to all of us to take advantage of the warm weather and get outside for some delightful dining memories!

As I write this the birds are chirping outside my window.  They wake me up around 6 every morning and even before sunrise.  That's what I love about the first weeks of Spring. Along with the birds, comes the all the new growth in the garden. Everything is starting to sprout out of the ground and soon all the plants will be in BLOOM.  It's the amazing and wonderful part of nature that never gets old. In the sprit of the season the four of us ( Amber, Cinne, Jillian and Nanako) gathered up our favorite Etsy finds for our current trend page IN BLOOM.  It's a fanciful mix of flowers, plants, and everything that feels like Spring.

What's your favorite part of the Spring season?

I started gardening about 20 years ago and instantly fell in love with the smell of the soil and the magic of planting a seed and watching it grow.  In the dead of winter with snow blanketing the ground, there is not much growing outside my window.  That's why I love sharing my home with the vibrant green of house plants - don't you?  Succulents are one of my favorites as they are easy to care for and are fun to propagate.  In exploring all the different ways to Get Organized this month, I love the idea of organizing your house plants by giving them a new planter to call home!  I always enjoy pairing my plants with different planters to bring about the character of this living decor piece and organizing them in handmade vessels is a great way to spend a snowy afternoon!
