Choc-co-late = Chocolate!  What more is there to say, really?  Chocolate.  I love it.  It's my secret love affair.  I could eat a whole bar if I don't institute strict rationing guidelines in advance.  Last week, I received a beautifully wrapped Valentine's Day gift from the big city of Dallas - a sweet treat from the very urban chic Madame Amber of Red Tile Studio!  She sent a box FULL of locally made, artisan chocolate and nearly put me into a coma.  (just kidding, Amber - I didn't eat it all in one sitting!!)  Handmade chocolate is simply put - AH~may~zing.  The chocolate shop Dude, Sweet Chocolate in Dallas doesn't sell on Etsy, but there are so many talented chocolate makers who make the most decadent sounding creations.  If you're looking for a Valentine's Day gift that is sure to please, take my advice and go for the chocolate!  Who's with me on this one?

Valentine's Day doesn't have to be an extravagant affair in order to let your partner know how much you love and care about them.  You can show your love in small, yet meaningful ways and really touch the heart of the one you love.  Giving the gift of handmade on Valentine's Day is such a natural fit - items made with love and care through the work of the hand!  "Made with Love" might sound cliche, but we believe that handmade directly translates when it comes to showing your love through a gift!  Now that we're officially launched into the month of February, we've taken the guesswork out of what to order through our curated Valentine's Day Gift Guide - making it that much easier to give the GIFT of LOVE this Valentine's Day!

We've entered the final stretch where in just one week, we will land on December 25th.  Your holiday check list might be looking like a crazy crossword puzzle that's been stuffed in your pocket and gone through the wash - one where you've got all bases covered from gifts to decorations.  Yet, I wanted to take a moment to get something else ready - YOU.  Yes, you!  Let's take a moment to step out of the holiday blaze towards next week and take some time to get Y-O-U ready for the holidays.  My post today highlights seven all natural facial scrubs to gently exfoliate your skin while leaving you feeling refreshed!  I'm a huge lover of all natural skincare products and I was just swooning over the amazing ingredients found in these scrubs - rosewood, lime, raw honey, pure cane sugar.  Yummy, right?

Take a little "Pamper YOU" time this coming week in preparation for having a super fabulous holiday season!

Holiday Gifts :: Artful Giving

When we began the process of putting together our 82 page Etsy Holiday Gift Guide, we first began by choosing categories.  Thinking like a gift giving divas, we laid out the basic framework for the gift guide to be built upon.  One category we debated was the art category.  We had to consider whether or not people would feel comfortable giving art as a gift, but we splashed some cold water on our faces and said, "Well heck, why not??"  We wanted to take the mystique out of buying art and make it very approachable through our handpicked selections.  Amber, Cinne and I curated art walls based on different themes.  One page from my spread is featured above.  Can you guess what my theme is?

Be sure to check out the full layout in our Elite16 Holiday Gift Guide and let's do away with the notion that art is challenging to give as a gift!

I am a huge lover of letterpress - aren't you?  It's so hard to resist the weight of the card stock in your hands and the yummy texture of the embossed designs on your fingers - it's like sensory card bliss!  Letterpress cards are just the bomb and I've put together 8 letterpress holiday card sets to help celebrate this holiday season.  Today is the 8th of December and it's not too late to get those cards in the mail, but you need to act pretty fast.  And no...I'm not talking to those organizational geniuses out there who already have all their cards in the mail - I'm talking to those like me.  Those who know it's December, who know ordering cards take time to arrive in the mail, but those who just need a little friendly reminder.  So, here's your reminder, folks - order your cards!  Like today...I am!
