Nature is pure inspiration any time of year, but it feels especially so during the summer.  When I look outside my window I see the veggies, herbs and flowers in my garden bushing out and growing with each day.  It fills my whole being with wonder, wouldn't you agree?  A small seed gets planted in the dirt and then it steadily grows into a display of beauty.  In so many ways, nature captures the heart of the artist and is a source of boundless inspiration.  I've picked out 4 nature inspired home decor items to make it easy to welcome in the beauty of nature into your home this summer!

Living in Maine, summers are just not fully complete until you've had lobster and spent some time out on the open water.  Anything nautical during this time of year is a natural fit and brings to life the rich maritime history of the coast.  Even if you don't live by the water, I've handpicked 4 handmade items with a nautical theme so you can feel the cool breeze of the ocean no matter where you live!

Over the weekend, I went to a really beautiful crystal store and fell in love with just about everything in sight.  The beauty of naturally formed crystals from the womb of the Earth resonate such a soothing energy that it's hard to resist not walking out with a bag full of wonderful finds.  I'm not sure where I would put a collection of crystals the size of an entire store, so my collection today highlights alternative ways to enjoy these magical creations of Mother Nature!  I've hand picked 6 items to jump start your crystal collection - from the real thing to some really cool crystal shaped hand soap!  Enjoy!

This stylish post today comes from our west coast correspondent, Cinne of CBanning Accessories and is filled with the light and open air of living in California.  Being an east coast girl myself, dining out in the open air more often looks like a picnic with a grill and some lawn chairs - yet Cinne has taken outdoor dining to a whole new level.  I feel inspired to invite some friends over, whip up an amazingly fresh meal with ingredients from the farmer's market and serve it with a refreshing presecco while we dine over light music and laughter.  Ummmm...ya, sign me up - please!  Enjoying a meal outside under the stars with some tea lights and good company is such a treat.  Cinne's gorgeous selections are a fun reminder to all of us to take advantage of the warm weather and get outside for some delightful dining memories!
